The Old Chapel in Zennor is an independently run backpackers hostel located near the South West Coastal Path in West Cornwall.
Zennor village is situated just half a mile from the South West Coast path in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and designated as an Environmentally Sensitive Area. It is a very picturesque small farming village boasting an 11th Century church, a pub and the oldest privately owned museum in Cornwall. Close by is the quaint seaside town of St Ives with its cobbled streets and acclaimed for its golden sandy beaches, famous art galleries and numerous restaurants and cafes.
Zennor Backpackers offers its visitors everything from hidden sandy smugglers coves to local folklore and legends including the Mermaid of Zennor.
The Old Chapel Backpackers is an ideal midway point for anyone wishing to walk the coastal path from St Ives to Land’s End or for anyone wishing to walk from St Ives, stay the night and walk back again. We are also perfectly located for anyone interested in outdoor activities such as rock climbing, water sports, birdwatching, fishing, diving or surfing. Stay at the Old Chapel Backpackers and explore the many hidden coves in the area or simply relax, unwind and get away from it all.
We have our own daytime café in the hostel serving delicious homemade foods and excellent coffees or just up the road is the village pub which serves a good range of local ales and good food.

The Old Chapel Backpackers can accommodate 32 people in six rooms, a maximum of 6 people per room, including one family room. And you do not have to be a ”backpacker” to stay with us. Everyone is welcome!
